Beach Trip

My blog is only a month behind, but a lot can happen in a month.  And so it has.  Most of it is busy-ness that would bore you all to tears, but there are a few highlights that the grandparents might be interested in.

On Presidents Day Weekend, we went to Camp Rilea for a mini-vacation.  We went with Gramma and Grampa and brought my cousin Jake along too.  It was pretty fun!

We went out to a restaurant - a real one where you don't get a toy with your meal.
My kids don't get to do that very often.

Of course, we had to stop at our favorite toy store, The Purple Cow.

We went bowling!

And we played at a very cool playground for a while.

My mom and I went for a run together on the beach, and my parents and I had some nice long conversations late at night.  (No pictures of those. Ha ha!)

After one such conversation, I made a painful decision to give up hold off on a couple of my goals - to take a little break.  My running shoes are going to wait for me under the bed for a while.  And my school schedule is going to be chopped in half next term.  I hope that will help me take a deep breath and focus on the most important things that are happening right now.

It's difficult. It's difficult to pick my favorites out of all the wonderful and important things there are to do in life.  So many of them feel urgent to me.  But they aren't.  Some can wait.
