Top-Rated Places in My Home

My schedule necessitates that I leave the kids home alone sometimes.  Okay - it happens a lot nowadays.  They are plenty old enough to do this, and I feel that they are pretty safe, mostly responsible, usually considerate of the neighbors, sometimes kind to each other, and they probably even occasionally keep the family rules in my absence. :)  We all know that things don't run quite the same when Mom is gone.  Most of what I miss I will never know about, but sometimes there are clues for me when I return, such as these:

"Bathroom > sero stars
Washingmashing"
This is Shea's handwriting.  Apparently he doesn't approve of the downstairs bathroom.  And his spelling of washing machine would explain why the clothes are always so wrinkled.

The kitchen got four stars.
Or maybe the maze of meals listed is what earned the stars.

The fridge got its own Lord-of-the-Rings-style sign. The only thing on the other side of the fridge is a wall, so it seems to be a rather pointless warning.

The living room got less overall stars than the kitchen but was honored with
"Best Room."

Now what I want to know is, do we need to crack down on the chores to improve the ratings?  Or does it have to do with favorite chores?  Maybe it's more to do with ambiance?  The directional arrows indicate it may be an obstacle course difficulty rating.  But if that is the case, why didn't the stairs get a sign?

It's probably a game for which I will never understand the rules.  Sometimes these clues are no help at all!
