Autumn's Monologue

This is a video of Autumn's theatre semester final.  When I was in drama in high school, I don't really recall even having a final.  Even if I did, I know it wasn't as intense as this:

Invite your parents to the auditorium after school.  Stand center stage with the spotlights on and recite a monologue from memory.  All the theatre students and their parents are in the audience to watch.

I think I would throw up.  She did terrific!

Be prepared to turn down the volume for the cheering and turn it up for her speaking part.  She really did do a great job projecting her voice (I could hear her just fine during the presentation), but my microphone didn't do a very good job picking it up.

Most of the performances were very well done.  There were at least 50 kids who performed.  Silly me - when Autumn invited me to see her final, I thought I would only be watching her, or maybe a small group from her class period.  No.  You sit and watch everybody, and no fair sneaking out early.  Autumn was in one of the last sections to perform.

Four hours. Four. Hours.  It's okay, I didn't have anything else to do with my evening. (Yeah, right.)
