Last Tuesday, Michayla's orchestra was invited to play a song at the middle school's string festival. Here is the Evergreen High School Strings Orchestra playing Farandole.
Thanks to Olivia moving away to another school, Michayla is now 1st chair! (It's difficult to beat someone who receives private lessons when you never bring your instrument home to practice.) (:
Generally, this promotion has given me a better photography advantage, but for this concert it did not pan out because their whole group was sitting behind the 7th and 8th graders. You'll even notice at the beginning of the video that I handed the camera down the row to Autumn who passed it down to Sean in order to get a better shot, but I'm not sure he could see her any better than I could. Oh well.
